My piece focuses around the qualities of time, remembrance, and nostalgia. There are many things in our contemporary lives that we take for granted. Things that we wish we would have preserved looking back upon them from the future. The goal of my piece is to create something that can serve as a vessel to carry into the future. A fragment of the present. I was inspired by the artifacts that ancient people left behind. My piece begs the question: What do we want to leave behind? To create something to be enriched with the value of time and be rediscovered by the people of the future is the goal of this piece.
