Bitmap Monogram
The bitmap monogram is an experimentation with typeface design. A tight grid system was used to keep elements of the design consistent. For example, each letterform holds the same width and height within the grid. An element of movement was created in the design through the stretching and pulling of the letterforms. In revisions of this design, this concept of stretching and pulling was minimized to increase readability and legibility. Through multiple iterations, I was able to create a type design that fits into a grid system, is readable, and carries a concept of movement.
